About Meyer Daniel Altson
Born in England in 1881 was a brother of Aby Alston (1866-1949). He arrived in Australia in 1888. He studied at National Gallery School of Victoria and in Paris. Living and painting in Europe from 1902, he lost his sight during World War II and died in London in 1965. He was also known as Michael David Alston.
Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 2006.
