About Sofia Minson
Born in Auckland in 1984, Sofia Minson obtained a Bachelor of Art and Design, from Auckland University of Technology in 2005. Of Maori, Swedish, English and Irish heritage which provides insiration for her portraits and landscapes. Her works have been exhibited and collected in the USA, Europe and throughout New Zealand. She has won three national art awards including the Molly Morpeth Canaday Art Award in 2005 and is a four-time finalist in the Adam Portraiture Awards, winning People's Choice in 2012. She lives and works in Auckland.
