Born in Ballarat in 1969 David Noonan studied painting at Ballarat University from 1987 to 1989 and the Victoria College of the Arts from 1991 to 1992. A painter, photographer and film maker he has exhibited solo in Australia, the United States, Belgium UK, France and Japan. He lives and works in London and is known for large-scale monochromatic collages on linen comprised of fabrics which are torn, folded, cut, stitched and combined with silkscreened images.

The earliest auction listing we have for David Noonan is in 2005 and in total 48 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 28 (58%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $55,206 for Paris Match sold by Phillips Auctioneers in February 2010.
