Born in Serbia in 1936, Mimi Jaksic-Berger taught art in Belgrade and worked for magazines before arriving in Australia in 1959. She designed the medallion for the Sydney Coin Club and the Dobell medallion for Newcastle, and has won more than 60 art awards. She was painter of large watercolour abstracts.
