Born about 1925, Johnny Warrangkula Tjupurrula ewas one of the most senior Aboriginal painters in acrylics from Papunya in Central Australia. His work has been seen in numerous survey exhibitions from the 1980s in state galleries in Australia, and in Germany and the USA.
