Born in 1861, Melbourne-based sculptor, Margaret Baskerville was one of the best known female sculptors in Australia. She was a member of the Yarra Sculptors' Society, and in 1917 joined the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors, becoming President in 1927.
