About Jefferson (Jeff) Rigby
Born in Sydney in 1948, Jeff Rigby studied extensively in Sydney. A realist painter in acrylic, gouache, coloured pencil and charcoal. He has held solo shows since 1975 in Sydney, and has also exhibited in travelling shows, and in most capital cities.
The total number of works by Jeff Rigby offered for sale by auction since 1988 is 26, of which 14 (54%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $2,640 for The Hammerhead Crane, Garden Island sold by Shapiro Auctioneers in March 2021.
