About Christine Ross
Christine Ross (married name Sanders) was born in Newcastle N.S.W. in 1944 and graduated in painting from the National Art School Sydney in 1966. She was art critic for the Newcastle Herald and ABC radio in the 1970s and inaugural artist in residence at the South Australian School of Art in 1983. she has exhibited widely in Australia and also worked with a studio in Britain in 1979. She was a senior lecturer in painting and Natural History Illustration at the University of Newcastle until 2006 and continues as an honorary lecturer at the university. She lives and works at Lake Macquarie N.S.W.
