Born in New South Wales in 1950. Merrick Fry studied at the National Art School, Sydney and in South East Asia, Europe and UK. He first exhibited his paintings in Sydney in 1978, He has had 26 solo exhibitors since 1978. The Bathurst Regional Gallery (his home town ) has 40 works in their permanent collection. His work is in 17 public collections including the National Art School and most universities.
