Born in San Remo, Victoria in 1974 Ricky Swallow studied at Victorian College of the Arts. A sculptor and draughtsman he represented Australia at the 2005 Venice Biennale. In 2009–2010 the Ian Potter Centre, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne exhibited recent sculptures and watercolours by the artist. He has exhibited widely with both solo and group shows. Other solo exhibitions have been held in London, Los Angeles, Vienna,and at the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Ricky Swallow now lives and works in Los Angeles.
