Born in Sydney in 1909, Bim Hilder studied at the East Sydney Technical College and with Sydney Long. A sculptor and painter he has exhibited in Sydney and has received numerous sculptural commissions. The eldest son of J.J. Hilder, he was a teacher of sculpture at East Sydney Technical College and president of the Society of Sculptors.
