Born in Dunedin in 1952, Eion Stevens studied at Otago Polytechnic School from 1970 to 1973 and in England at the Exeter School of Art in 1974/75. A painter in oil and acrylics, and a printmaker he has exhibited regularly throughout New Zealand since 1979. In 1999 a survey of his work was mounted at the James Wallace Trust Gallery in Auckland.
