James Tatton B. Fraser, sketcher and explorer arrived at Western Australian in 1852 and was appointed third-in-command of Robert Austin's exploring party to Shark Bay in 1854. He acted as the expedition artist painting in watercolour, and lithographs after some of his sketches appear in Austin's Journal.
