Born in Hungary in 1938, Stephen Kaldor arrived in Australia in 1957. He gained his medical degree in Sydney in 1962, and later studied art at the National Art School. A genre and landscape painter and portraitist, Kaldor has held solo shows of his work in Sydney since 1980. He contributed to 'Australian Artist' Magazine.

The total number of works by Stephen Kaldor offered for sale by auction since 1987 is 10, of which 7 (70%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $1,320 for Party Hire, Coogee sold by Aust. Art Auctions in November 1996. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2021.
