Born in Hungary in 1938, Stephen Kaldor arrived in Australia in 1957. He gained his medical degree in Sydney in 1962, and later studied art at the National Art School. A genre and landscape painter and portraitist, Kaldor has held solo shows of his work in Sydney since 1980. He contributed to 'Australian Artist' Magazine.

We have records of art auction sales by Stephen Kaldor from 1987 and in total 10 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 7 (70%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $1,320 for Party Hire, Coogee sold by Aust. Art Auctions in November 1996. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2021.
