Born in Sydney, New South Wales in 1915, Ivan Englund studied in Sydney and the UK. A painter, potter and teacher, he was also appointed by the Arts Council as a tutor for special schools. He was a founding member of the Potters Society of Australia. Englund began exhibiting in Sydney in 1952.
