About Florence Dearling
Born in Western Australia's wheat farming area in 1895, Florence Dearling was trained as a teacher before studying art with Will Ashton and Dattilo Rubbo, and later at the National Gallery School in Melbourne. Painting in oil, she favoured landscapes, still life and figure studies.
