H. Webster Nash was a GP in Lower Hutt from 1926 - 1972 who took up painting in the 1930's. He was on the council of the Academy of Fine Arts during the 50's and his work was exhibited in their shows in years from 1939 to 1960.. His paintings during these years were generally landscapes of the Upper Valley. He retired to Taupo in 1972 where he continued to paint full time.
