Malcolm Campbell was a Victorian based landscape, seascape and portrait painter working in oils and watercolour in the 1870s and 1880s. He exhibited extensively including in the Victorian Exhibition 1872, the Agricultural Society of NSW Exhibition of 1873, the Intercolonial Exhibition 1875, the Sydney International Exhibition of 1879-80, the Colonial and Indian Exhibition, London, 1886 and at the Victorian Academy of Arts in 1875. He was a member of the Council of the Victorian Academy of Arts in 1884.
