Born in Hobart in 1941, Kevin Lincoln studied in Hobart and Melbourne, where he moved in in the 1960s. A painter and printmaker with no formal art training, he has exhibited extensively since then, particularly with the Social Realist Group in Melbourne from 1965 - 68, but also in Sydney, Canberra, Hobart and some overseas galleries.
