Born in Scotland in 1812, Robert Park arrived in New Zealand as a surveyor in 1840, becoming Wellington town surveyor. He painted in watercolour and sketched studies of Maoris.
Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 1995.
