Greg Turner was born in Crookwell, NSW in 1938. He attended Yanco Agricultural College and in 1950 his family moved to Orange, NSW where he developed a passion for painting and held his first “one man” exhibition at age 16. He married his wife Jan in 1960 and travelled to England, where they spent three years in private study and painting. On their return, they set up their own art business. He worked on numerous public and private commissions, including a series for the Department of NSW Agriculture on Camden Park, where John Macarthur raised the first merino sheep in Australia. His work has been featured in several books, including "Pioneer Prints" 1978; "A Portrait of Orange and District", 1982; "This Wilderness is Ours", 1984; "This Heritage is Ours" ,1986. and "Camden Park - The Birthplace of Australian Agriculture" was published in 1992.
