About Frank Benier
Frank Benier, a newspaper cartoonist and painter, was born in Hindmarsh, South Australia. After leaving school, he was employed as a copy boy on the Adelaide News and eventually moved to the art department as a cartoonist. After World War II Benier rejoined the News as an artist and in the 1950s he moved to Sydney and worked in animation and contributed to the Bulletin. He worked in London for about 4 years in the 1960s and then returned to Sydney.
