Born Vivienne Thwaites in Sale, Victoria in 1956, Vivienne Shark LeWitt was awarded a Diploma of Fine Art, Tasmanian CAE, School of Art Hobart, in 1978 and a Post-Graduate Diploma of Fine Art, Alexander Mackie CAE, Sydney, 1981. A contemporary painter, her first solo show was in Sydney in 1984, and since then has exhibited regularly in solo shows in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as in group shows in Australian cities and in the United States, Scotland.
