Born in Neutral Bay, Sydney, 1920, Flower is best known for his bright, decorative and whimsical painting. His other activities include stage designing, illustrating and writing radio plays, features and film scripts. The author of historical and reference books, he has produced an illustrated history of NSW. He first showed his work in 1940 aged 20 and exhibited regularly after that. Cedric Flower lived all his life in Sydney.
