Born in Fremantle, Western Australia in 1903, Percy Hunt was known for his figurative watercolours - often of waterfront subjects. He studied in Perth, London and Paris, and spent three years working as a commercial artist in Singapore before returning to Perth in 1938 to teach at Perth Technical College.
We have records of art auction sales by Percy Hunt from 1990 and in total 173 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 142 (82%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $5,290 for Freshwater Bay 1949 sold by GFL Fine Art in March 2021.
