Rodney Forbes studies at the Gippsland Institute and was awarded a master of Fine Arts from Monash University. He is a painter, educator, curator and writer who lives in Gippsland, Victoria and has participated in solo and group exhibitions since 1987. He was the Head of Gippsland Centre for Art and Design at Monash and then Federation University for 8 years and also the Curator of Switchback Gallery. He is currently a Senior Research Fellow at Federation University Australia. His work has been the subject of two major curated survey exhibitions and he has been the recipient of an Australia Council Arts and Crafts Board New Work Grant.
