Born in Scotland in 1942, Leon Morrocco studied in Scotland and at Slade School in London before embarking on travel study trips to Italy, Greece and Turkey. He taught at the Glasgow School of Art from 1969 to 1979, after which he moved to Melbourne and was appointed head of the Department of Fine Art at Caulfield Institute of Technology. He had 11 solo shows in Scotland, and his first show in Melbourne was in 1982.
