About Frederick Halford Coventry
Born in New Zealand in 1905, Coventry studied at the Slade School, London, with William Dobell and Eric Wilson. He remained in London after the war where he worked as an instructor at the Chelsea Polytechnic and became a well known designer of stained glass. He was a member of the Society of Mural Painters in 1947. Coventry exhibited in Europe, America and New Zealand.
