About Charles Reddington
Born in Chicago in 1929, Reddington studied at the School of Art Institute of Chicago, before coming to Australia in 1959. He first took a position as lecturer at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, later moving to Adelaide, then on to Sydney. In 1970 he returned to the USA and became Professor, Graduate Painting from 1970 to 1992 at the Indiana State University. He is best known for his colourful abstract-expressionist paintings which have won him several awards.
