About Colleen Hamilton
Colleen Shirley Hamilton was born on December 25 1930 in Christchurch New Zealand. She was a self-taught painter in oils of the New Zealand and Australian landscape and settlement, floral still life and farming. Some of her works were purchased by the New Zealand Government paintings as gifts to visiting overseas dignitaries. Colleen Hamilton moved to the Hartley region of the Blue Mountains in N.S.W in 1986 where she continued painting.
