Born in Dunedin, New Zealand in 1923, Rona Dyer studied at the Dunedin School of Art, the Cnetral School of Art and Goldsmiths Art School in London. A painter in oil, watercolour and tempera and printmaker, she is known for her wood engravings and has illustrated several books. She exhibited at the London Society of Painters, Etchers and Engravers, the Society of Wood Engravers, the Royal Academy, the Auckland Society of Arts and the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts from 1947.
