Jonathan Brown, an Australian aboriginal artist, first came to recognition when he worked with Lin Onus for the 1990 exhibition 'Balance' at the Queensland Art Gallery. His later paintings are heavily influenced by the Atomic tests at Maralinga in the 1950s, which has made much of his homeland inaccessible.

We have records of art auction sales by Jonathan Kumintjarra Brown from 1992 and in total 41 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 26 (63%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $22,800 for Sandlines at Yalata sold by Lawson~Menzies (now trading as Menzies) in May 2007. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2022.
