Creagh Manning completed a Dip Art and Design (Painting) from Prahran CAE Melb. in 1975 after studying privately with William (Bill) Coleman) for 4 years. His early work was influenced by Cubist composition and structure. Visits to Italy in 1985 and 1987 resulted in monumental compositions based on Italian pre- renaissance art with many paintings and etchings depicting Italian village architecture. Manning has lived in central Victoria for many years and later work has been influenced by the human condition and the rural environment.
