Born in Adelaide in 1854, Rosa Fiveash was a watercolourist, china-painter and natural history illustrator. She studied at the Adelaide School of Design under H.P. Gill, and later taught art at secondary school. She illustrated John Ednie Brown's 'Forest Flora of South Australia' and many of her flower paintings are represented in Adelaide's Botanic Gardens art collection and the State Herbarium.
