Born in Sydney in 1929, Clytie Jessop studied in Sydney and London. A painter and gallery director, she has exhibited her work in Sydney, Melbourne, London and New York. Jessop lived in London for many years, returning to Australia in 1977, where she was appointed director of the S H Ervin Museum and Art Gallery in Sydney. She returned to England to further her career in film production.
