Born in Hobart in 1925, Barbara Peake (nee Begg) studied in Melbourne at Swinburne Technical College from 1944-46 and for one year in Germany at the Frankfurt Art Academy in 1972. She was a traditional painter of landscapes and seascapes and was a teacher at the Malvern Artists Society, and privately. She exhibited with the Malvern Artists Society, in Melbourne and regional Victorian cities.
