Fabiola Tuomy was born in Melbourne in 1875 and received her artistic training at the Melbourne School of Art from 1896 to 1899, the Bendigo School of Mines Art School and the National Gallery of Victoria School from 1901-1903. A professional painter of oils, watercolours and pastels, craftsperson and art teacher she exhibited at the Australian Exhibition of Women's Work in 1907, and between 1900 and 1926, she exhibited at Victorian Artists Society and the Yarra Sculptors' Society.
