Born in Melbourne in 1919, Warwick Armstrong studied in Melbourne and London. He is best known as a theatrical designer, having produced several major sets in England and Australia. His work at different times, shows influences ranging from Klee, Picasso, and Francis Bacon, notably the whimsical line of the first and the double imaging of the last two.
