About Allen David
Born in India in 1926, Allen David arrived in Australia in 1948 and studied architecture at Melbourne University. He held his first exhibition in Melbourne in 1948 and ran a private gallery in Melbourne from 1958 to 1960. He is also known as a photographer and has illustrated a book on Central Australia, and is a noted sculptor with prominent glass commissions. Outside Australia, he has lived and worked in London, Tel Aviv and New York City.
