A Melbourne painter, teacher and writer, Patricia Moran was in her 30s when she followed a life-long desire to study painting full time. She was a member of the Australian Guild of Realist Artists, and was a tutor at the Victorian Artists Society in the 1980s. She exhibited in Melbourne from 1978. Patricia Moran won the Alice Bale Overseas Study Award in 1982. She wrote several textbooks and produced DVDs to encourage beginners to take up painting.
