About Max Newton
Born in Melbourne in 1919, Max Newton studied at the George Bell School and in London. During World War II he served in the RAAF as a war artist. He is primarily a landscape artist painting in oil and watercolour, and he took part in various group exhibitions in Melbourne.
The total number of works by Max Newton offered for sale by auction since 1975 is 19, of which 16 (84%) were sold.
