Born about 1945, Tjupurrula is an Australian Aboriginal painter from the Pintubi tribe, who lives and works near Papunya in the Northern Territory. He begqan painting in 1973 first exhibited his work in 1981. He was chairperson of Papunya Tula Artists from 1985 to 1995.
