Born in London in 1938, Valerie Parker studied in Perth for a Painting Diploma from the Perth Technical School. A painter and draughtswoman, she paints mainly watercolour landscapes and realist still lifes in oil. In 1980 was a founder of the Watercolour Society of WA and was an office bearer in various positions including President until 2002.
