Doug Sealy, traditional genre painter and portraitist, was born in West Wyalong, N.S.W. in 1937. He studied under Reg Campbell in N.S.W. He first exhibited in Mt. Eliza, Victoria and since then has held over 25 solo exhibitions in the eastern states of Australia. He has tutored at Charles Sturt Universityand been awarded five First and one Second Prize at Sydney Royal Easter shows, as well as being awarded prizes in provincial art shows.
