About Ruth Lowe
Born in Berlin, Ruth Lowe moved to Sydney in 1938. In 1959. After a career in millinery, she studied art at East Sydney Technical College. In 1966-8 she studied under Maximilian Fluerring, and her first known exhibition was at Woollahra gallery in 1973. She painted and drew steadily over five decades, exploring many different styles. Her last known painting is dated 2010.
