About Craig Bennett
Craig Bennett was born and lives in Sydney. He began formal art education at The College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts with First Class Honours in 1997. He was awarded 3 month residency at Cite de Arts, Paris, France and also travelled to Hannover and Lipzig, Germany to study the work and life of German born artist Kurt Schwitters (1887-1948). He completed a PhD in Fine Arts in 2003. Craig Bennett began casual lecturing in Painting and Drawing at COFA in 2003. He has exhibited in commercial galleries since 1998 and held approximately 12 solo exhibitions and been included in numerous group shows. He works today with found unwanted materials.
