About Drago Cherina
Born in Croatia in 1949, prior to his arrival in Australia in 1971 Drago Cherina studied in Europe and England, where he was a protégé of sculptor Henry Moore. As well a sculptor, he is a printmaker and tapestry designer. He received a number of important public commisions while living in Australia before moving pemanently to Taiwan.
The total number of works by Drago Cherina offered for sale by auction since 1999 is 215, of which 143 (67%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $9,430 for Marina sold by Goodmans Auctioneers in March 1999. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2021.
