Born in Holland and emigrated to Australia as a child with family in 1952. She studied for a Post Graduate Diploma in Art and Design at the Phillip Institute. Her early works were landscapes with figures, exhibited at the Eva Breuer Gallery in Sydney, including still lifes and female figures in rooms. Her current oil paintings are best known for a rather European feel and beautifully rendered cloth, silks, cottons etc. The Regional Gallery at Castlemaine has two of her works in their permanent collection one is a drawing and the other an oil painting. Reece has sold works through various galleries and has had her paintings bought by many overseas collectors.
