Born in Italy in 1941, Bruno Leti arrived in Australia in 1950. He graduated as an art teacher in Melbourne, and has travelled extensively through Europe, the North and South American continents, painting and teaching in various countries. He has exhibited in Australia and overseas since 1969 and has won a number of prizes.
The total number of works by Bruno Leti offered for sale by auction since 1978 is 218, of which 159 (73%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $6,600 for Chess 8 2003 sold by Lawson~Menzies (now trading as Menzies) in November 2010. This year one work has been offered for sale. Works by Bruno Leti are held by the National Gallery of Australia, Art Gallery of NSW and a further six major public national galleries (see list below).
