About June Hobart
Born in Melbourne, June Hobart studied under A.D. Colquhoun in the 1940's and in Europe and England in the early 1950s. A painter and teacher, she was a member of The Twenty Melbourne Painters Society and has exhibited in Melbourne at the Georges Gallery and The Athenaeum and other group exhibitions. She was a dedicated adherent to the Meldrum School of tonal realism and painted many commissions and landscapes.
